Reflecting on Nature: On-the-Spot Poetry Competition


The National Poetry Festival and the National Parks Board, organisers of the Reflecting on Nature: On-the-Spot Poetry Competition (the “Competition”) invites aspiring poets from Primary 5 & 6 to join us for a writing workshop and competition themed around the topic of nature. Selected participants (the “Participant”) will learn to express their experiences with nature through poetry during this workshop, and will be given time to develop their own original work. Their poem will be submitted for the Competition with attractive prizes to be won.

NOTE: This competition is only open to local/foreign students age 11 to 12 years old (e.g. Primary 5 and Primary 6).

Poem Length: From 3 to 14 lines (written with writing prompts that will be provided)

Registration Deadline: 7 May 2018 (Monday)

Selected participant/student(s) will be informed by: 14 May 2018 (Monday)

Workshop & Competition Date: 26 May 2018 (Saturday)
